DeKalb County Board of Review met Jan. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Those in attendance: Dan Cribben, Chairman; John Linderoth and Brian Rosenow, Members; Bridget Nodurft, CCAO/Clerk; Michelle Christensen, Chief Deputy; and Dennis Nolan and Scott Nemanich, attorneys.

I. Call to Order – Chairman called meeting to order at 11:15 am.

II. Roll Call – Chairman asked for the record to show all present.

III. Review Agenda for Approval / Amendment – John moved to approve the agenda as written. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

IV. Review Prior Meeting Minutes for Approval – John moved to approved January 4, 2024 minutes as written. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

V. Public Comments – None.

VI. 2023 Board of Review Teleconference Hearings – Please see attached schedule. 

VII. Work Load

a) Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Person Exemptions (HEPD) – After Board review, John moved to approve 7-New and 1-Renewal HEPD applications. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

b) Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Veteran Exemptions (SHEVD) - After Board review, John moved to approve 3-New and 2-Renewal SHEVD applications. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

c) Review to Approve / Deny Senior Exemptions (HE) - After Board review, John moved to approve 12-New HE applications. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

d) Review to Approve / Deny Assessor Changes - None

e) Review to Approve / Deny Mapping Changes - After Board review, John moved to approve 30 Mapping Changes. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

f) Review to Approve / Deny Model Home Exemptions - After Board review, John moved to approve 5 Model Home Exemptions. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

g) Review Non-Homestead Exemptions for Recommendation to IDOR - After Board review, John moved to recommend 2 applications submitted as denial and 2 applications submitted for approval, with a total of 5 parcels. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

h) Enterprise Zone Certification - After Board review, Brian moved to certify 7 Compliance Forms. John seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

i) Review, Prepare and Make a Recommendation for PTAB Appeals - None
