Village of Hinckley Board of Trustees met Feb. 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL BOARD MEETING TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order by Interim Village President Quirk at 7:00 PM.

Roll call was taken showing the following:

Present: Sarah Quirk, Jennifer Klambauer, Alyssa Prickett, Russell Kula, Steve Gayhart, and Mike Constant. Quorum Established.

Absent: None.

Also Present: Deputy Clerk Kathy Michaels, Police Chief Ken Gettemy, Ceneca Wagner, Dale Youngers, Brandon Kramer (EEI), Attorney Tait Lundgren, and Members of the Public.

PUBLIC COMMENT on Agenda Items Scheduled for Action Only

None.

GENERAL BUSINESS

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: February 12, 2024, Regular Board Meeting Minutes Trustee Constant moved to approve the minutes from February 12, 2024, and Trustee Kula seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Quirk-Aye, Klambauer-Abstain, Prickett-Abstain, Kula-Aye, Gayhart-Aye, and Constant-Aye. Motion carried.

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: Payment of Invoices Due

Trustee Constant moved to approve the invoices as presented and Trustee Kula seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Klambauer-Aye, Prickett-Aye, Kula-Aye, Gayhart-Aye, Constant-Aye, and Quirk-Aye. Motion carried.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Oath of Office New Part-Time Police Officer Todd Fancsali

Interim Village President Quirk gave the Oath of Office for New Part-Time Officer Todd Fancsali and she welcomed and congratulated him on joining the Hinckley Police Department.

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: Regional Planning Commission appointment, Bob Pritchard as main representative, and Mike Constant as alternate.

Trustee Quirk moved to approve the Regional Planning Commission appointment of Bob Pritchard as main representative, and Mike Constant as alternate and Trustee Gayhart seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Prickett-Aye, Kula-Aye, Gayhart-Aye, Constant-Aye, Quirk-Aye, and Klambauer-Aye. Motion carried.

ATTORNEY’S REPORT

Attorney Lundgren stated that Nelnet has a valid basis for official termination for the solar project.

Trustee Kula stated that the Welcome to Hinckley signs should be ready as early as next week.

ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Prickett moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 pm and Trustee Quirk seconded the motion. Voice vote: All in favor. Motion carried. The next Regular Board Meeting will be held on March 11, 2024.
