The Illinois Chamber of Commerce has awarded Representative Jeff Keicher the Bridge Builder Award, recognizing his efforts in promoting bipartisanship and collaboration within the General Assembly. This announcement marks the second of four releases scheduled for this week.

Keicher, a member of leadership, has earned respect from both Republicans and Democrats through significant legislative achievements. Among these are the 2019 law expanding mammogram screenings and economic reforms that created numerous local jobs, including positions at Meta’s Data Center in DeKalb. He also served on the Commission on Poverty Elimination and Economic Security, working closely with community leaders across Illinois. With over 25 years in the insurance industry and as founder of a successful State Farm Insurance Agency in Sycamore, Keicher's professional background complements his legislative work.

“Leader Keicher symbolizes what we need more of in the state, legislators that work across party lines to impact lives; his demeanor and impact are key reasons why we are glad to bestow this award upon him,” said Lou Sandoval, President and CEO of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to our continued collaboration with the Representative in the upcoming session.”

Illinois House Republican Leader Tony McCombie added, “This recognition highlights Jeff’s commitment to fostering collaboration and good communication with our colleagues despite differences in politics. His unwavering determination to consistently reach across the aisle and build bridges has led to better policies positively impacting Illinois businesses and families around the state!”

Representative Jeff Keicher expressed his gratitude: “Illinois needs the businesses represented by the Illinois Chamber to be financially viable. I look forward to supporting those businesses and the Chamber in the years to come.”

The Illinois Chamber will present these awards within recipients' districts over upcoming months.
