DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board Finance Committee met May 6.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Other Persons Present: Joe Mitchell, Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church, Sheridan Threadgill, Scott Campbell Board of Directors
Committee Members Not Present:
1. Call to Order
Mr. Maier called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm
2. Approval of Agenda
Dr. Stromborg moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Ms. Cook. The motion passed unanimously.
3. Approval of Minutes
Ms. Cook moved to approve the minutes of the April 9, 2025, meeting, seconded by Dr. Stromborg. The motion passed unanimously.
4. Office Report
• Ms. Cada shared that NM utilized their Vision Grant for a 2-day retreat; this aligns with the goals outlined in their application, and they were able to discuss what they are moving towards. NM will come and present on their vision grant at a later date.
• Ms. Cada announced that Give DeKalb raised over $2.1 million.
• Ms. Cada shared that she received a Thank You Letter from Opportunity House for the RJS Scholarship Award
• Ms. Cada shared that there was a Department Head Meeting, during which they discussed the FY2026 Budget; the Budget process is scheduled to start in June and will finish by July, and they are planning for a zero increase Budget. Ms. Cada shared that she is working on a request letter to the county board.

6. Approval of April 2025 Claims – Action Needed – Tabled to Full Board
7. Old Business
a. Project H.O.P.E. Capital Request Presentation – Pastor Joe Mitchell presented the capital request for Project H.O.P.E. He will have additional information to Ms. Cada by June 3rd.
b. Grant Year 2026 Grant Application & Process
i. Late Application Procedure Development – Discussion ensued.
c. Financial Consultant RFP – Tabled to June meeting.
d. 12 Health Services Drive Lease review – Possible Action – The lease is up next year, Ms. Cada met with David Berault, ASA to get language to change the lease; Currently were locked in for the next 4 years and would like to not have that language in there and have more control and flexibility with the lease.
Ms. Cook moved to forward the 12 Health Services Drive Lease Review to the Full Board, seconded by Dr. Stromborg. The motion passed unanimously.
