DeKalb Times Athletes in Action, Football: Sept. 10 - Sept. 16

Athletes in Action tracks players with ties to communities within the DeKalb Times coverage area as they compete at the collegiate level. The following football players will compete during the week of Sept. 10 to Sept. 16.

  • Ben Niemann - Sycamore H.S.; Sycamore, Illinois. Iowa Hawkeyes; 6-foot-3, 230-pound / Senior / Linebacker.

  • Dre Brown - Dekalb H.S.; DeKalb, Illinois. University Of Illinois Fighting Illini; 5-foot-11, 215-pound / Sophomore / Running back.
    University Of Illinois Fighting Illini vs South Florida Bulls. Sept. 15, 6:00 p.m.
  • Eriq Torrey - Dekalb H.S.; DeKalb, Illinois. Lincoln Blue Tigers; 6-foot, 180-pound / Sophomore / Wide receiver.
    Lincoln Blue Tigers vs Quincy Hawks. Sept. 16, 6:00 p.m.
  • Hayden Lapointe - Dekalb H.S.; DeKalb, Illinois. Southern Illinois Carbondale Salukis; 6-foot-5, 289-pound redshirt / Freshman / Offensive lineman.
