Illinois residents paid $14,350 to attend the four-year public institution this year $146 more than the $14,204 charged for 2016-17.
Non-residents paid 66 percent more than residents this year, or $23,816. Their price tag grew 0.6 percent from $23,670 in 2016-17.
About 95 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. And about 5 percent are residents of other states.
Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 2,057 students received grants or scholarships totaling $19.47 million and 1,594 students took out student loans totaling more than $11.85 million.
Including all undergraduates, 10,583 students used grants or scholarships totaling $87.56 million. Another 9,735 took out $72.78 million in federal student loans.
