Report: Hinckley-Big Rock spent $14,056 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hinckley-Big Rock Community Unit School District 429 is up 1.7 percent from five years ago, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dekalb County school district spent $13,818 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,056 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 694 to 667.

Hinckley-Big Rock's spending in 2017-18 was 5.4 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
