Report: Sandwich spent $11,231 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sandwich Community Unit School District 430 is up 10.7 percent from five years ago, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dekalb County school district spent $10,142 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,231 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2263 to 2069.

Sandwich's spending in 2017-18 was 15.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
