TURNER-EIGHNER FUNERAL HOME: Thomas D. Paladeau, Sr.

Turner-Eighner Funeral Home issued recentlythe following announcement.

Thomas D. Paladeau, Sr., 83, of Earlville, formerly of West Chicago, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Michealsen Health Center in Batavia, IL. He was born January 17, 1936 in Geneva, IL, the son of Delbert J. and Ethel (Jensen) Paladeau. He married Mary Lou Modaff on June 22, 1962 in Fort Dix, NJ. Tom was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army as a Spec Class 4, serving in Frankfort, Germany. Tom worked in construction from a young age. He was the owner/operator of Earlville Underground Inc. Tom was a loving husband, friend, and companion to Mary Lou. A cherished brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a loving brother-in-law to Mary Lou’s sisters and their families. Tom is loved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His door was always open to those in need and animals needing rescue.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou of Earlville, IL; one granddaughter, Loretta (Matthew) Pinkham of Lacon, IL; one great grandson, Thomas Dewey Pinkham; one sister, Sherry Clark of AL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Thomas D. “TJ” Paladeau, Jr, and two sisters, Pam Mack and Pat Sisk.

Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 221 Union St. in Earlville with Father Augustin Kassa officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. Burial will be at a later date at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville.
