Cortland home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Cortland rose by $10,957 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $122,932.50 - a 9.8% increase over the $111,975.50 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Cortland in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Cortland for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,249.90, approximately 4.3% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
