DeKalb home prices rise in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in DeKalb rose by $50,400 while total sales decreased by 71.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $125,400 - a 67.2% increase over the $75,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in DeKalb in April 2016.

The median sales tax in DeKalb for 2017 was $4,771. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,698. This marks an increase of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.8%.
