DeKalb home prices rise in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in DeKalb rose by $29,932 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $81,529 - a 58% increase over the $51,598 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in DeKalb in November 2016.

The median sales tax in DeKalb for 2017 was $4,771. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,698. This marks an increase of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.9%.
