DeKalb home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in DeKalb rose by $2,500 while total sales increased by 1.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 176 homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 1.9% increase over the $132,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 173 homes sold in DeKalb in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in DeKalb for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,771, approximately 3.5% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
