Today marks the first weekday of National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week.
We greatly appreciate the important service provided by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch and the City of DeKalb 911 Dispatch.
While often never seen, Public Safety Telecommunicators are the single vital link for our police officers and firefighters by monitoring their activities by radio, providing them information, and ensuring their safety.
To all of our Telecommunicators: Many thanks for everything you do!
