BUTALA FUNERAL HOME: Marna R. Kinner

Butala Funeral Home issued the following announcement.

Marna R. Kinner, 80, of Sycamore died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at NW Medicine- Kishwaukee Hospital.

She was born July 6, 1939 to Clarence and Bernice (Ericksen) Rasmussen. She was married to Robert T. Kinner.

Marna was a faithful and active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Creston. She had a wonderful career as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years- working at many local hospitals and agencies.

Marna enjoyed cats, taveling, cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her two sons, Thomas Kinner of Sycamore and Steven (Rhonda) Rasmussen of DeKalb; her sister, Linda (Red) Lumley of Arkansas; niece, Jennifer Mobley of Texas; nephew, Bret Gibson of Arizona and sister-in-law, Helen Diercksmeier.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert in 2008.

A private graveside service will be held at the Fairview Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were completed by the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
