DeKalb County Board of Review met May 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Those in attendance via telephone conference: John Guio, Bob Merriman and Dan Gribben, Members; Michelle Christensen, Interim Clerk.

I. Call to order: Meeting called to order at 9:00 am. 

II. Roll call: All present.

Ill. Approval of minutes from last meeting: Bob made a motion to approve March 11, 2020 minutes, Dan seconded. All in favor, motion passes.

IV. Public Comments: None 

V. Work Load:

a. Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Person Exemptions (HEPD): None 

b. Review to Approve I Deny Disabled Veteran Exemptions (SHEDV): None

c. Review to Approve I Deny Senior Exemptions (HE): None

d. Review to for Recommendation for Non-Homestead Exemptions: None

e. Review of, Prepare and Make a Recommendation for PTAB Appeals: John will follow up with Rich Dyer, DeKalb Township Assessor regarding the 2018 PTAB appeal for Spirit Master Funding Ill LLC as due date for submission of evidence from SOR is soon approaching.

f. Review to Approve/ Deny Certificate of Errors (CofE's): The certificate of errors were reviewed with decisions made in groups as follows: Dan made motion to approve numbers 182 thru 188. Bob 2nd motion. All in favor motion passed. Dan made motion to approve numbers 189 thru 202, with the exception of voided numbers being 195 & 201. John 2nd motion. All in favor, motion passed. Dan made motion to approve number 203 thru 209. Bob 2nd motion. All in favor, motion passed. John and Bob will send email authorizing Bridget Nodurft to use signature stamp for approval of CofE's. Dan will come to the building on May 27, 2020 to stamp his signature authorizing the above.

VI. Other Business: Board discussed and has rescheduled the two Non-Homestead Exemption hearings for Kish Wellness Center and Educational Media Foundation for the next meeting on June 10, 2020. Notification of rescheduled date and time will be sent to all involved parties.

VII. Adjournment: Dan moved to adjourn; Bob seconded. All in favor, so moved. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 am.
