Littlejohn Elementary School issued the following announcement on Aug. 5.
From the superintendents:
Until very recently there was optimism for a blended learning model for our students, but given current regulations, guidance and accessibility to COVID-19 testing in our area, we feel the safest option for our students is to start the school year remotely.
Now that we have a clear/solid direction, next week we will share with you our revised plans. These revised plans will include a staged re-entry process. The re-entry plan will assure that we do not lose sight of our bigger picture, which is getting everyone back to school safely. Please be advised that the first E-learning day for students is scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2020.

Hasta hace muy poco, había optimismo para un modelo de aprendizaje combinado para nuestros estudiantes, pero dadas las regulaciones actuales, la orientación y la accesibilidad a las pruebas COVID-19 en nuestra área, creemos que la opción más segura para nuestros estudiantes es comenzar el año escolar de forma remota.
Ahora que tenemos una dirección clara / sólida, la próxima semana compartiremos con usted nuestros planes revisados. Estos planes revisados incluirán un proceso de reingreso por etapas. El plan de reingreso asegurará que no perdamos de vista nuestro panorama general, que es hacer que todos regresen a la escuela de manera segura.
