Maple Park-Countryside Fire Protection District responded to 33 calls in 2018 - 15.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maple Park-Countryside included 27 fires - 17 structure fires, two vehicle fires and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $177,100 in fire loss - or about $6,559 per fire.

The department also received six false calls, including two malicious calls and four other false calls.

The Maple Park-Countryside Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $550,623 in 2018.
