Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) is counting down the days until he can see Donna Curzon honored in the way he believes she should be.
“The late Donna Curzon is an example of how much one person can make a positive difference in the lives of others,” Keicher posted on Facebook.
A Sycamore resident, Curzon passed away back in April from a cardiac-related issue.
“Thank you to Donna’s son, Alex, for sharing his mom’s story with my office. It was an honor to learn about Donna, what she meant to her friends and community and to memorialize her contributions and service in the records of the General Assembly and our state," he said. "I look forward to the House of Representatives adopting the resolution I introduced paying tribute to Donna’s life and legacy next week.”
Those who knew Curzon described her as a “lifelong servant, community volunteer and dedicated frontline worker.”
Family and friends are calling on local residents to mark what would have been her 60th birthday with an upcoming day of service and volunteer efforts.
