Obituary for Teiko Leonard
Teiko Leonard, 93, of Oswego, IL formerly of Glendale Heights, IL passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Bickford of Oswego, in Oswego, Illinois. She was born August 22, 1927 in Takao-Shu, Taiwan the daughter of Tokuji and Misako (Tsuda) Kurosawa. She worked in the Ship’s Store in the camera department, at the Yokosuka Navy Base in Japan where they met. She married Charles Daniel Leonard on May 12, 1959 in Yokohama, Japan. She graduated from the College of DuPage, and was a Travel Agent. Her greatest enjoyment was being a homemaker and raising her children.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald (Deborah) Leonard of Cleveland, GA and James (Ann) Leonard of Oswego, IL; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Taylor, and Jordan; and two great grandchildren, Raelynn and Klayton Acton, and one more soon to be.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Daniel Leonard; two brothers; Tokuo and Tadow, and four sisters; Miyoko, Tomiko, Teruo and Yoshiko.
