Q2 Recap: 1 parolee from DeKalb County convicted of crimes involving alcohol set for release

There was one offender convicted of a crime involving alcohol living in DeKalb County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DeKalb Times.

The data shows the released offender was a woman. She was convicted in 2017 when she was 23 years old. She is now 28.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
