A. Board Educational Services Committee

1. Norms for Collaboration

Submitted By: Dr. Megan Johnson and Dr. David Carson

Description: This committee began utilizing these norms to support participation and collaboration in the 22 - 23 school year. We will review and revise, as needed, at the start of our August meeting as well as at each following meeting to check in on how we're functioning as a team.

Norms

1. Start and end on time.

2. To the best of one's ability, review the agenda and attachments ahead of the meeting to be prepared to participate.

3. Respect topic time-keeping to ensure that all matters of the agenda can be addressed.

4. Assume positive intent.

5. Share the air.

2. 2024 - 2025 School District Scorecard

Submitted By: Dr. Cassandra Schug & Dr. Dave Carson

Description: Annually the school district administration creates a scorecard that identifies growth targets for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each of the five goals of our strategic plan. Throughout the year, the scorecard provides information that tracks our progress in each goal and strategy.

This slides presentation provides an overview of the adjustments to the goals included in the scorecard as well as the key steps (milestones) that will be taken throughout the school year to accomplish the growth identified in the scorecard.

School scorecards will be reviewed at the October Education Services Committee and board action will be requested at the October School Board meeting

3. Instructional Materials Annual Report - 6:210

4. D100 Summer School Programming Recap

This was our first summer reducing summer programming back to the pre-COVID budget and era. Summer School was held at WA for K5th grade programs and BHS for 6th-12th grade programs.

Continue programming for next summer with minor tweaks and revisions in areas needed.

5. Annual Update - Rubric Guiding Goal 2 Work-Trauma Informed Schools and CASEL

The committee will be provided an update on the rubrics that guide our Goal 2 work- Trauma Informed Schools and CASEL

No action required at this time.

6. Youth Mental Health Screener - MOA with Maro & West 4

Maro provides risk detection for youth mental health through a screening process. West 40 currently has grant funds to cover the cost of screening students. Through a MOA, we are able to join the partnership and consider screening students this school year at no cost. *Any screening involves informing parent/student prior to participation with an opt out option.

Approve the MOA to allow our high schools time to learn about the screening process and explore the platform at no cost.

7. District 100 Handbook 2025-26 SY

Each year, the District Handbook is revised for parents and students with the most up-to-date information, District-level policies, and connections to statewide PRESS policies.

PRESS IASB refers to the Policy Reference Education Subscription Service (PRESS) provided by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) Policy Services. It is an online resource designed to support school board members, administrators, and school attorneys with policy-related information and resources.

There are some possible revisions that could be made available in August based on July legislation that has been approved.

This will be located on the District 100 website under the PARENTS tab.

Place on the Regular Board Meeting Agenda for August
