Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 Board of Education Policy and Personnel Committee met Aug. 14.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

A. Strategic Plan Goal 4 - Premier Workforce

1. Strategic Plan Update - Goal 4

Submitted By: Dr. Ady

Description: Each meeting the administration will provide a review of the District's progress to achieve the goals of the strategic plan. The Policy and Personnel Committee will focus on Goal 4: Premier Workforce

This monthly presentation, the District's scorecard, and the Schools' Scorecard provide key updates about the school district's progress to implement the strategic plan.

B. District 100 Policy Section Review Form

C. Policies Requiring Review

1. 1:30 School District Philosophy

This policy is personalized to the District, and it should be reviewed for possible updates.

2. 2:150 Committees

This is specific to D100 and should be reviewed.

3. 2:220 School Board Meeting Procedure

This has some specific to D100 language with the executive summary - we should review.

4. 2:230 Public Participation at School Board Meetings and Petitions to the Board

Verified PRESS language - written correspondence is not being presented in Board Packet

5. 2:240 Board Policy Development

Review the practice with the Committee

6. 3:10 Goals and Objectives

Has not been reviewed since 2019; should be reviewed - is consistent with PRESS

7. 3:30 Chain of Command

This policy was just reviewed; however, it tends to be a policy that we struggle to follow - so a review would be helpful.

8. 3:70 Succession of Authority

Succession plan is in Sweet Process and should be submitted to the Board via Admin Report in August

D. Personnel Review and Discussions

1. Proposed Approval of Non-Certified Substitute Pay Rates Every year we review pay rates for our substitutes in order to remain regionally competitive. After reviewing our sub rates, we determined that in order to remain regionally competitive we needed to increase our non-certified sub rates.

Our certified substitute teacher rates, including our permanent building subs, remain competitive with other districts within the region, so we are not currently recommending any adjustments. We will review all sub rates again next spring as we do annually.

Approve the recommendation for the non-certified substitute pay rates for the 2025-2026 school year.

E. Any Other Matters to Come to the Attention of the Committee

F. Next Meeting Date

1. Next Meeting September 11
