The village of Maple Park announced its direct debit program for water, sewer and garbage bills last month.
The program is designed to prevent late payments.
Residents of Maple Park can easily sign up for the direct debit program by downloading the authorization agreement for preauthorized payments. The form may be found here. It authorizes Maple Park to debit the customer's checking or savings account on or before the utility bill due date.
A voided check must be enclosed with the form. Mail the completed and signed form and check to P.O. Box 220, Maple Park, IL, 60151 or scan and email it to caldridge@villageofmaplepark.com.
After the direct debit authorization has been processed by the village and the customer's bank, utility bills will automatically be debited from the customer's bank account. The village will continue to send bills so residents can track their water usage.
For more information or questions regarding the direct debt program, call the village at 815-827-3309. The village office is open 9 a.m.-noon on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday.
