Sycamore Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees takes action on travel expense, document retention policies

Sycamore Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees met Feb 2.

Here is the agenda as provided by Sycamore:

In accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois and the ordinances of the City of Sycamore, the next regular meeting of the Police Pension Board of the City of Sycamore, is scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m., on the 2nd day of February 2017 at the Sycamore Center, 308 West State St. Sycamore Illinois, during which it is anticipated that there will be a discussion of the following:

2. pproval of the genda

3. Public Comment

4. Consent genda

a. Approval of the Minutes from meeting of October 20, 2016

5. pproval of Payments/Bills

a. Payment of the bills since the last regular meeting

6. Treasurer’s Report/Investment Transactions

a. Report from Treasurer Adam Orton on the status of the fund including investment transactions between October 20, 2016 and February 2, 2017.

b. Report from Great Lakes Advisors on market trends, fund performance and investment options.

a. Consideration of the Police Pension Portion of the 2016 Property Tax Levy [action item] b. Investments Maturing and Reinvestment of Funds [action item]

• The Board will consider the re investment of a CD in the amount of 83,700 that will mature on February 3rd. The Board will also consider investment recommendations made by the investment manager. 

c. Consideration of Updated Rules and Regulations including a travel reimbursement policy and a document retention policy [action item] 

d. Consideration of a Retainer Agreement with Attorney Cary Collins [action item

e. Appointment of Freedom of Information Officers and Open Meetings Act Designees for the Police Pension Board [action item]

a. Refund Request from Steve Barnaby

10. Review of Benefits

a. Approval of Pension Increases for 2017
