Report: Hiawatha spent $10,673 per student in 2016-17

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dekalb County school district spent $10,421 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,673 in 2016-17.
The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 607 to 549.
Hiawatha's spending in 2016-17 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
