FOX VALLEY FAMILY YMCA WEST BRANCH: Healthy Heroes Week

Fox Valley Family Ymca West Branch recently issued the following announcement.

Healthy Heroes Week, set for July 8-12, focuses on community outreach promoting healthy living through easy access to weather safety, hearing screenings, diabetic retinopathy and more. We will celebrate together at the end of the week with a family-friendly Y party –– water balloons, tractor rides, petting zoo, face painting, bounce house and more! All events during this week are free to attend with the exception of the low cost vet clinic. During the entire week we will offer medicine drop-off, file for life, bone marrow donor registrations, voter registration and scrap metal drop-off. Daily schedule of events is as follows:

• Monday:

Dekalb County Health Department Weather Safety Presentation: 3-6yrs from 9:45-10:45am | 6-12yrs 10:50-11:50am

Hydration Station: Benefits of Water provided by the Y:

4:30-7pm

• Tuesday:

Blood Drive provided by Heartland Blood Centers: 2-6pm

Become an Organ Donor: 10am-12pm

• Wednesday:

Retinol & Hearing Screenings provided by Sandwich Lions Club: 9am-3pm

• Thursday:

Massage Therapy provided by Denise Smith: 10am-12pm | 5-8pm

Cupcakes & Yoga: 6:30-7:15pm

• Friday:

Just Animals Low Cost Vet Clinic: 3-7pm

Fun with Friends Free Family Party: 9am-12pm

- Sandwich Fire & Police Department Touch-a-Truck

- Lion's Club Tractor Rides

- Water Balloons

- Face Painting

- Petting Zoo

- Bounce House
