Sandwich Illinois Historical Society issued the following announcement on July 20.
July 20, 1969 photo shows the huge crowd attending the Bob Hope Air show at the Sandwich Airport. The air show helped raise money to purchase an airplane for Father Tony, who was then known as New Guinea’s flying priest.
