Rep. Keicher visits Safe Passage in DeKalb
Illinois state Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) recently paid a visit to the Safe Passage, Inc. crisis center in DeKalb to highlight all the work the organization does in aiding victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
During the visit last month, Keicher toured the grounds of the facility and saluted group leaders for embarking on plans to soon celebrate the center’s 40th anniversary over the next few months. In a video posted to Facebook, Keicher talked with Communications & Prevention Services Director Lynnea Erickson Laskowski about the center’s plans for expansion, which include erecting a new building for the center.
Keicher has long been an advocate for programs empowering females. Earlier this year, he sponsored a free self-defense class for women and girls ages 10 and older where donations went to the Safe Passage program.
