State Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) is encouraging his constituents to take a survey focusing on ethics reform and addressing corruption in Illinois.

"Please take my survey and tell us what you think about ending corruption in Illinois at https://www.ilhousegop.org/ethics_reform" Keicher wrote in a Nov. 4 Facebook post.

The survey starts by criticizing Illinois Democrats, then asks for personal information before continuing further.

In his Facebook post, Keicher mentions former state Rep. Luis Arroyo (D-Chicago) who pled guilty to a single count of bribery. According to US News, Arroyo was charged in October 2019 after he was recorded paying a bribe of $2,500 to an unidentified state senator. Following the charges, Arroyo resigned from his position as state representative and currently faces up to 20 years in prison.

Illinois House Republicans have launched an initiative called Reimagine Illinois. The goals of the initiative include a corruption-free state, responsible fiscal leadership, and growing jobs for families to stop the exodus of Illinois residents. The last goal is creating a safe state where senseless violence doesn’t exist and kids can grow up safely.

"The Illinois House Republicans have reimagined an Illinois free of corruption and with responsible fiscal leadership," according to Reimagine Illinois. "An Illinois where jobs are plentiful and all our neighborhoods are safe. We invite you to take a tour of our reimagined Illinois and if you agree its time for a change, sign our petition.
