DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Board met June 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session at the Legislative Center’s Gathertorium at 8:57 p.m. President Frieders called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Ms. Michelle Pickett, Mr. Roy Plote, Mr. Craig Roman, Mr. Ellingsworth Webb, Vice-President Suzanne Willis, Mr. Tim Bagby, Mr. Scott Campbell, Ms. Mary Cozad, Ms. Rukisha Crawford, Mrs. Karen Cribben, Mr. Bill Cummings, Mr. Mr. Patrick Deutsch, Mr. John Emerson, Mrs. Laurie Emmer, Mr. Steve Faivre, Mrs. Kathy Lampkins, Ms. Dianne Leifheit, Ms. Maureen Little, Mr. Jim Luebke, Ms. Terry Mann-Lamb, Mr. Jerry Osland, and President John Frieders. Those absent were Mr. Larry West and Ms. Kiara Jones. There was a quorum with twenty-two Commissioners present and two absent.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion

Mr. Campbell moved to approve the agenda as presented and Ms. Mann-Lamb seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Frieders called for a voice vote to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Motion

Ms. Cozad moved to approve the minutes of the May 18, 2022 meeting. Vice-President Willis seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Frieders asked for a voice vote on the approval of minutes. All Commissioners present voted aye. Motion carried unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

There were no public comments.

COMMUNICATIONS & PROCLAMATIONS

The presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation for the Sycamore Lions Club was postponed until the August 17, 2022 Meeting.

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS

Claims – June 2022

Motion

Mr. Roman moved to approve the payment of claims for this month, and the off-cycle claims paid during the previous month, including all claims for travel, meals, and lodging, in the amount of $102,363.43. Mr. Webb seconded the motion.

Roll Call Vote

President Frieders asked for a roll call vote on the motion to approve and payment of the District’s June 2022 Claims. Those Commissioners voting aye were Ms. Pickett, Mr. Plote, Mr. Roman, Mr. Webb, Vice-President Willis, Mr. Bagby, Mr. Campbell, Ms. Cozad, Ms. Crawford, Mrs. Cribben, Mr. Cummings, Mr. Deutsch, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Emmer, Mr. Faivre, Mrs. Lampkins, Ms. Leifheit, Ms. Little, Mr. Luebke, Ms. Mann-Lamb, Mr. Osland, and President Frieders. The motion carried unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS

None.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion

Mr. Luebke moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:01 p.m. and Ms. Little seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Frieders called for a voice vote on the adjournment. Motion carried unanimously.
