Pricing for the median home in DeKalb decreased during the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in DeKalb fell by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 83.3 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 38 homes sold, with a median sale price of $162,500 - a 1.5 percent decrease from the $165,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 227 homes sold in DeKalb in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in DeKalb for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,868, approximately three percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
