First half of 2022: Home prices in Malta fell

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Malta fell by $7,000 while total sales decreased by 46.7 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,000 - a 4.2 percent decrease from the $165,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Malta in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Malta for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,583, approximately 2.9 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
