Shabbona home prices rose in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Shabbona rose by $13,100 while total sales increased by 14.3 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,000 - a nine percent increase over the $144,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Shabbona in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Shabbona for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,022, approximately 2.5 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
