DeKalb County Board of Review met May 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Those in attendance: Dan Cribben, John Linderoth, and Brian Rosenow; Members; Bridget Nodurft, Clerk; and Alana Rautio, Administrative Assistant

I. Call to order: Dan called meeting to order at 9:00 am

II. Roll call: Dan asked that the minutes reflect that Brian, John, Dan, Bridget, and Alana are all in attendance. III. Review Agenda for Approval / Amendment: John moved to approve agenda. Brian 2nds motion. All in favor, so moved.

IV. Approval of minutes from last meeting: Brian moved to approve April 13th, 2022 meeting minutes. John seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.

V. Public Comments: None

VI. Work Load:

a. Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Person Exemptions: Board reviewed a total of 4 New and 28 renewals for HEPD. John moved to approve. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. See attached list.

b. Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Veteran Exemptions: Board reviewed a total of 1 New and 29 renewals for SHEVD. John moved to approve. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. See attached list.

c. Review to Approve / Deny Senior Exemptions: Board reviewed a total of 31 New HE applications. John moved to approve. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. See attached list.

d. Review to Approve/Deny Certificate of Errors: Brian moved to approved CofE’s numbered 258-354 all for the 2021 assessment year. John seconds motion. All in favor. Motion passed.

e. Review for Recommendation to IDOR for Non-Homestead Exemptions: Board reviewed a total of 5 Non Homestead Exemption Applications. John moved to approve 3 applications and table 2 for a hearing to be held on June 8th. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. See Attached list.

f. Review, Prepare and Make a Recommendation for PTAB Appeals: Bridget updated the Board there are currently none on the docket for this month.

VII. Other Business:

a. Office Dinner: Dan would like to recommend an office dinner to include all Board members, Assessment Office staff, and their significant others to be planned for a future date this summer.

VIII. Adjournment: John moved to adjourn. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. Meeting adjourned at 10:55 am.
