DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board Impact Committee met Sept. 28

DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board Impact Committee met Sept. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Board Members Present: Robert Cook, Sue Plote, Perry Maier DRAFT Staff Present: Heaven Allen, Deanna Cada

1. Call to order - Mr. Maier called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.

2. Approval ofthe agenda - Mr. Cook motioned to approve the agenda, and Ms. Plote 2nd

3. Approval of minutes: June 28, 2023 - Mr. Cook motioned to approve the June 28, 2023 minutes, and Ms. Plote 2nd

• The motion carries.

4. Old Business

a. Purpose and Goals of the Committee

i. Shared Definition - Impact. The Committee worked to create an Impact Committee definition:

The Impact Committee works in partnership with funded agencies to ensure the

DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board resources are utilized by programs with the most significant potential to make a positive difference in the County. The committee considers various factors, including the funding's objectives, intended beneficiaries, and expected outcomes.

ii. Charter Development - Mr. Maier shared the vision and purpose of a committee charter. The Committee's goals include: 1) Determine, measure, and review the impact of the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board, 2) Review agency outcomes on their grant application, and 3) Review agency outcomes annually and make recommendations. The Committee's objectives are to determine the impact of the DCCMHB, the impact of funded agencies, and the implementation of the 2023 DCCMHB Strategic Plan.

b. DCCMHB Strategic Plan Review & Discussion - Discussion tabled until next meeting.

i. Staff Tasks

c. Funded Agency Impact Committee Tasks

i. Current documentation collected - Ms. Cada presented an overview of the information and documents collected from funded agencies. A suggestion was made to add the questions "Organizationally, what is going well and what is challenging this quarter?" to the reports.

5. New Business - No new business discussed

6. The next Impact Committee meeting date is October 16, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

7. Adjournment- Ms. Plote motioned to adjourn the meeting, and Mr. Cook 2nd, motion carried.
