Village of Hinckley Board of Trustees met March 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL BOARD MEETING TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order by Interim Village President Quirk at 7:00 PM.

Roll call was taken showing the following:

Present: Sarah Quirk, Jennifer Klambauer, Russell Kula, and Steve Gayhart. Quorum Established. Absent: Alyssa Prickett and Mike Constant.

Also Present: Deputy Clerk Kathy Michaels, Police Chief Ken Gettemy, Ceneca Wagner, Treasurer Dave Maroo, Brandon Kramer (EEI), and Members of the Public.

PUBLIC COMMENT on Agenda Items Scheduled for Action Only

None.

GENERAL BUSINESS

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: March 11, 2024, Regular Board Meeting Minutes

Trustee Kula asked Trustee Quirk to clarify what was in the minutes regarding Trustee Klambauer asking if an Executive Session was needed. Trustee Quirk stated to change the comment to “Everything is underway.” There will be an Executive Session at the next meeting. Trustee Kula moved to approve the minutes from March 26, 2024, with the change to “Everything is underway.” and Trustee Klambauer seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Quirk-Aye, Klambauer-Aye, Kula-Aye, and Gayhart-Aye. Motion carried.

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: Payment of Invoices Due

Treasurer Dave Maroo asked Trustee Kula why he picked the Road/Bridge Fund for the expenses of the signs. Trustee Kula stated that he thought that was the proper fund allocated for the signs. Treasurer Maroo stated that may get change. Trustee Klambauer moved to approve the invoices as presented and Trustee Kula seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Klambauer-Aye, Kula-Aye, Gayhart Aye, and Quirk-Aye. Motion carried.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

• Agenda item for discussion/approval: Amending Ordinance 2024-02 regarding Tree Board subsection

Trustee Klambauer moved to approve Amending Ordinance 2024-02 regarding Tree Board and Trustee Gayhart seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Kula-Aye, Gayhart-Aye, Quirk-Aye, and Klambauer-Aye. Motion carried.

ENGINEER’S REPORT

No Report.

TREASURER REPORT

Treasurer Maroo presented the monthly Treasurer’s Report. He noted that all funds currently have a positive balance.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Public Safety

Chief Gettemy stated that there has been a hiccup with the installation of in-car cameras downloading to our server. He stated we will not pay the invoices until that is corrected.

PUBLIC COMMENT

OPEN DISCUSSION

Trustee Gayhart stated they will need to start ordering valves which cost approximately $1300.00 - $1400.00 each.

ADJOURMENT

Trustee Klambauer moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 pm and Trustee Gayhart seconded the motion. Voice vote: All in favor. Motion carried. The next Regular Board Meeting will be held on April 8, 2024.
