PUBLIC WORKS:
Public Works Director Smith explained that there is a survey being put out around DeKalb County regarding transportation systems. This includes streets, sidewalks, bike paths, etc. He asked that everyone complete the survey and urge the residents in their wards to do so as well because it could lead to the opportunity to receive federal funding. He also announced that they are working on the sidewalk inventory and decorating downtown has started.
MAYOR:
Mayor Brust also addressed the survey regarding transportation within Genoa. He urged everyone to fill out the survey and push it out to their wards to get further traction. He specifically mentioned the train bridge over 72 that people often walk/bike under to get from Genoa to Kingston. This is an extremely dangerous route but so far getting any kind of funding to help fix this has been unsuccessful.

POLICE:
Chief Hathcoat announced that all three new officers are officially done with their field training.
