Most frugal townships in DeKalb County

Budget 13

Malta-Milan Multi Tax Assessment District, Paw Paw-Shabbona Multi Tax Assessment District and Victor-Somonauk Multi Tax Assessment District top the list in DeKalb County with the lowest spending per capita in 2017, Illinois State Comptroller financial reports show.

State law requires local governments to self-report financial records each year, including revenue, spending and debt. Spending per capita is calculated to compare budget habits across townships.
