Analysis: DeKalb pays $7.08 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dekalb Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.6 percent of the $2,380,462 the Dekalb Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.08 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, DeKalb contributed $2,085,233 to the fund, which saw a $223,199 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $294,236, or 12.4 percent, in 2016. Another $993 came from other unspecified sources.
