Hinckley CFPD responds to 11 fires in 2017

Hinckley Central Fire Protection District responded to 22 calls in 2017 - 33.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Hinckley included 11 fires - eight structure fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $643,100 in fire loss - or about $58,464 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Hinckley Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $338,182 in 2017.

The Hinckley Community FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund, which has one active employee and retired or inactive employee, was $0 positive as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $0 for every fire in 2016.
