Shabbona Central Fire Protection District responded to 33 calls in 2017 - 73.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Shabbona included 26 fires - 13 structure fires, six vehicle fires and seven other fires.

The department also received seven false calls.

The Shabbona Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $276,153 in 2017.
