State Senate race: Republican Stewart wins voter tally in Clinton Township Precinct 1

Brian W. Stewart led Democrat David Simpson in votes cast in Clinton Township Precinct 1 for the District 45 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Stewart appeared to outpace Simpson by a margin of 24.5 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.
