Sycamore home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Sycamore rose by $401 while total sales decreased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $123,601 - a 0.3% increase over the $123,200 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Sycamore in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Sycamore for 2017 was $4,890.94. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,719.50. This marks an increase of 3.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4%.
