Genoa home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Genoa fell by $2,302.79 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $107,767.21 - a 2.1% decrease over the $110,070 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Genoa in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Genoa for 2017 was $4,668.26. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,442. This marks an increase of 5.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.3%.
