In-state tuition and fees rose 8.8 percent for 2017-18 at Kishwaukee College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois residents paid $8,880 to attend the two-year public institution this year $720 more than the $8,160 charged for 2016-17.

Non-residents paid 47 percent more than residents this year, or $13,050. Their price tag grew 8.5 percent from $12,030 in 2016-17.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 288 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.62 million and 93 students took out student loans totaling more than $436,009.

Including all undergraduates, 1,692 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.05 million. Another 624 took out $3.19 million in federal student loans.

The following data includes only full-time students who began an undergraduate program at the Kishwaukee College in 2015-16.
