Report: Genoa Kingston spent $11,677 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Genoa Kingston Community Unit School District 424 is up 14.5 percent from five years ago, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dekalb County school district spent $10,201 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,677 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1832 to 1671.

Genoa Kingston's spending in 2017-18 was 12.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
